Troubleshooting Your Walk

Everywhere we go we find people who are wanting to experience so much more in their Christian walk, but have no idea how to find it. They read all of the stories in the Bible about God working miracles, intervening to deliver His people or even talking with them. They read stories of angels coming to rescue people in their times of greatest need, or to bring them a message from God, and they wonder why God doesn’t do things like that today. Deep inside, their hearts tell them there must be more, but they simply don’t know where to turn to find the answers they are seeking.

The Bible teaches us that one of the primary reasons God created us in the first place was to have fellowship with Him (1 Cor 1:9, 1 Jn 1:3), Yet what we find is that many Christians are living what we call “second hand Christianity”. They are saved, they love God and are trying to serve Him, but many have never truly had an encounter with Him. In fact, sadly, many Christians today cannot think of a single time when they could honestly say God had intervened in their lives in any way on their behalf. Instead, they are living by faith in what someone else is telling them the Christian life is supposed to be like, whether it’s their pastor, a Bible teacher or mentor. All too often, these teachers and leaders have never really experienced God in a personal way either.

One of Satan’s most effective lies to the church today is that this is the way it is supposed to be, that this is how God wants it. We believe this is a lie straight from the pit of hell, and it has tremendously crippled the church and robbed it of its power. Jesus said in John 10 that His sheep hear His voice and follow Him, and we are taught in John 15 that only as we truly abide in Christ can we really accomplish anything of eternal significance. We believe that these and many other scriptures clearly indicate that it is God’s intention that we be in close fellowship with Him. We also believe that we can learn to hear His voice, and be clearly and distinctly lead by His Spirit in order to carry out all He has planned for us to do.

So, what is it that keeps us from experiencing this kind of fellowship with God if it really is what He wants for us? That is one of the primary reasons for our “Troubleshooting Your Walk” ministry. Our experience has shown that their can be many different reasons why we don’t connect with God on a much more personal level, and Satan doesn’t really care which ones he uses, as long as he can keep walls up between us and God. We believe that a people who have learned to truly walk with God, hear His voice and be lead by His Spirit are still one of the most powerful things the world will ever experience, and is also the thing that Satan fears most.

As a result, the lion’s share of our ministry revolves around helping people to connect with their Heavenly Father in a much more personal way, and then begin to experience for themselves the incredible power of having God’s Spirit flowing through them and working through their lives in ways they never imagined.

One way we do this is through our internet ministry where we regularly send out messages via email specifically addressing various obstacles that we have come across which keep us from experiencing this close walk with God. Many are lies we have believed, some are emotional issues, and still others result from wrong teachings we have received over the years, but we believe God can use each and every message to impact your life in a powerful way and draw you closer to that fully alive relationship with the creator of the universe that so many people today are hungering for.
